Rough Week

I apologize for not posting consistantly.  Or when I do post having absolutely nothing interesting to say.  After all my life isn’t always as pretty or interesting as my flowers.

I’m in a bit of a funk due to the buyer ditching us on Sunday.  The reason came back earlier this week and I know – KNOW – it will be an issue with every buyer that comes along – MAIN STREET.  Yes, we’re the crazy folks that live off of a main street in a rural area that isn’t so rural any more.  The dirt roads that were originally meant for local-traffic-only have now become major thoroughfares.  Ours is no exception.  It makes for a pretty busy corner and I know that most people just are not comfortable having to deal with traffic, noise and/or safety of their children and/or pets.  But we live here and it doesn’t cause us too many problems.

I wonder if fencing in our yard would help ease some of those issues?  Can we afford it or can we afford not to do it?  So many things to think about and frankly I’m exhausted thinking about them.  I believe I’ve come to the point of resignation.  We’re stuck in this living situation, in this house longer than we ever anticipated.  It’s a fact and we need to move on.  So yeah, funk is a nice word that should really say, “We’re fucked.”  Have a nice day.

  • The client didn’t come back for a second viewing.
  • Geo was able to power-wash the whole house exterior and porch.
  • The garage is stained.
  • Add painting to our project list.

Second Appointment

And now they’d like to come back Sunday.  I’m sick to my stomach.  Please, if you pray or meditate or woowoo or know someone (hehehe) keep us in your thoughts.  The buyer really thought the home was lovely and wants a better look on Sunday.

Our First

We finally had our house viewed today… it only took three months.  It was horrible how it all came about but I’m happy that it’s over and we lived through it.  Let’s just hope that there will be more – now that the summer is upon us or that this person that viewed it today can’t live without it!  That is, after all, how we ended up with it in the first place. 🙂

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by and visit - you are always welcome here. I do my best to respond to you within your own comments on a post. This takes time. I try to plug away at a few things in between pulling my hair out and chasing down my three year old son. If you have a question or some pressing matter or even if you'd just like to strike up a little conversation... I can be reached via email at ruralmamaATcomcastDOTnet.
