Outdoor Projects

Raised beds:  Two down – three to go.

Digging out grass around the apple trees:  One down – one to go.

Pulling grass out of the periwinkle (vinca) beds:  A never ending battle.

And of course where we play when we don’t feel like working:

The gardens look great!- I’m trying out the Square Foot Gardening (http://www.squarefootgardening.com/) method. I’ve got two little beds started (built – one has dirt, the other is still empty) and if it works, it will be too much for the 3 of us (yay for a big freezer). After this weekend we’ll be frost free (hopefully – they say to not kiss the snow goodbye until the middle of June ugh). I really want to get my garden going, and the Iz loves to pick the veggies and eat them right there!

I’d like to work on square foot gardening too – I have the book, but I’m lazy… hehehe. Maybe now with the raised beds I’ll try it out. We still haven’t planted.

I absolutely adore that top photo. Amazing!

That is a pond that we go fishing at with our son. The area is very elevated around here so seeing the sunset and rise are pretty easy anywhere we happen to be… I just wish I took better pictures.

Welcome

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to stop by and visit - you are always welcome here. I do my best to respond to you within your own comments on a post. This takes time. I try to plug away at a few things in between pulling my hair out and chasing down my three year old son. If you have a question or some pressing matter or even if you'd just like to strike up a little conversation... I can be reached via email at ruralmamaATcomcastDOTnet.
